Nile crocodile growth

CDieter Apr 21, 2006 10:03 AM

Hello forum,

We have been doing a growth study for a few months with a group of Nile crocodiles. We are going to replicate this study in a few months with a second group but I thought you folks might find the results interesting.

It shows some of the individual variance within even a small group of crocodilians set up exactly the same and fed the same diet. This is an ongoing project and I'll update it from time to time online but this stuff fascinates me.

Chris,
You have to do some in depth studies on growth of other crocodilian species at some time, Siamese, New Guinea, etc..

I find it amazing how fast the Siamese grow, and how slow the new guinea grow

.... PS ....

On a personal note: I have been side tracked big time the last few weeks, but I will start working on our side projects very soon!
