Cool & Sad

Yesterday I had a visitor on my side porch. It was a garter jerking his head around I am thinking on the trail of a female? I found a worm and tossed it to him to see what he would do. He ate it right up. This morning I saw a large female in the same area. So maybe it was a girl he was after. I would of got a pic but she darted away. Well just now I was outside when I herd the neighbor girl scream. There was a dead garter on the road, the female I saw this morning by my porch

Anyway I got some cool pics of snakes on my property. I got a house on over 2 acres last year and it is my dream home. Crawling with snakes, frogs, and salamanders. I know garters pretty well, I have been around them almost all my life. I do not however know the different types of garters very well. So if anyone could tell me what kinds of garters I have here it will cheer me up after what happened with that poor snake. Thanks
Jennifer, WA

The first pic is of the snake on my porch finishing his worm. The last 2 is of the same snake

The first looks like a western terrestrial, and the second I believe is a Pugot sound garter, but I am no expert.
