My Iguana is starting to shed about every three weeks are so and is about two years old, up till now he would shed about three time a year. Is this a growing spurt?

The growing spur is from baby-2-3 years old.
You dont get a spur at 2 years old, since growth slows down with age.
CHances are the enclosure is too dry (not humid enough), the food is not moist enough, and/or not enough misting/bathing.
Mist the animal often, put ice-cubes to melt to cause evaporation/humidity (not too many, just a few), and, try to spread a thin layer of olive oil on the body (from shoulders back, avoid the head). Even tho lizard skin does not exactly absorb like mammalian skin, it might help.
As long as the skin itself is vibrant and healthy, and the animal is not scratching or scraping excessively, you should be ok.

I didnt interperet your post as there was a problem with shedding. I read it as the iguana is shedding often. If so, then, yeah, its growing. Thats good right?
