Live Moss

rotcgirl84 Apr 21, 2006 11:30 PM

I've been thinking of getting some live cushion moss for my WTF's home and wanted to make sure it was safe before I put some in there. I was told the live mosses create a more reslistic atmosphere and all. Thanks!

using live moss is great. it helps to increase humidity and hold in moisture. just make sure you either get it from a reputable terrarium supply store, like www.lllreptile.com or www.blackjungle.com, etc. or if you plan to harvest it from your local area, soak it for two days in water prior to putting it into a tank. change the water every few hours, but be careful, waterlogged moss falls apart very easy.
