I am asking about Jumbo rats for BP because at the last show I bought some large rats (good price) which are currently too big for either of my BP's.

I just want to know that eventually my BP's will be able to eat them. Currently the large rats are taking up a lot of space in my freezer. I have about 40 rats ranging from weanlings to Large jumbo. And I have one wild caught frozen squirrel, too!

I am hoping that within the next two years, I will be able to slowly clear out the space in my freezer, so I was wondering if in your experience, you have had adult BPs feed easily on jumbo rats?

Worded another way: Are Jumbo Rats too big for most BP's, since most BP's only get to 4.5 feet?

Most balls don't get quite big enough to eat Jumbos but it all depends on the size of your particular snake.

Then what about say: a 300 gram adult rat? Can they eat those, in general? Pretty easily?

This girl eats 250-300gram rats.

She has no problem at all scarfing down huge rats.

She is a beauty! I recognize her. I believe she is the same one that dropped like 12 eggs a season or two ago!

Congrats and thx for answering my Q. I can't wait until the day that my girl can scarf down 300 grm rats with no problem. That way, I can clear out the space in my freezer!. I am on a two year plan to clear out my freezer .
