Southern Ringneck feeding pics...

vamp Apr 22, 2006 08:54 AM

Here is my Southern Ringneck (Diadophis p. punctatus) taking an earthworm from my hand. He has been conditioned to feed when I remove his hide and mist the cage. I know it is nothing special, but thought it was neat to get the little fellow on camera. Wish I could find some more specimens, would like to try and breed the little guys, just for my own interest and enjoyment.

Very cool! I keep some earthworm-conditioned D. p. arnyi myself. Great snakes, and best of luck to you on finding some others for a colony.
