i recently purchased a tomato frog, i've had her about a month now. i keep her tank very clean, change the water bowl everyday, and mist her substrate (coconut fiber) twice a day. The past few days i noticed a couple spots i only know how to describe as some kind of lesion developing. They started out looking white, almost as if the top layers of skin kad been rubbed away. Today i checked on her and the largest one now looks black. I think she may be too large for her fave hiding spot, so i took it out of the tank incase she's squeezing under it too tightly. Is there anything safe to use on amphibians to aid in healing? I'm not suspecting a fungal infection yet only because the surface of the lesions almost dips in slightly, instead of appearing to have a "coating" on top like i'd expect a fungal to have. Bacterial maybe? Do you think i need to worry about crickets being left in the tank when she doesn't eat them all, biting her while she's sleeping? Any insight would be a great help. Thank you.
