Feeder Insects

system_of_a_down Apr 22, 2006 07:33 PM

I am getting a frilled dragon soon, I know this isn't the Frilled Dragon form but because the frilled dragon form is so dead and this question could apply to bearded dragons I am posting it here, I am looking into breeding feeder insects for it but am wondering what kinds are suitable. I'm buying a breeding air of hissing cockroaches and am looking into breeding silkworms and Super worms, what else could I feed it.

Frilled lizards can eat a variety of insect prey, including all you mentioned. There are various websites about raising most of those insects yourself. There is also the feeder forum here on kingsnakes which can answer all your questions about raising insects commonly used as feeders.

Frilled dragons also can eat rodents (length of rodent shouldn't be any bigger than the length of the frilly's head).
