what is used to put numbers or color dots on baby dragons??

I use "Sharpies" ...markers to write the numbers on the babies tails. These come in black, red and green. The color does fade a bit and gets a bit blurry after the many baths and mistings but still stays pretty easy to read. The color/number comes off with each shed and needs to be reapplied as needed.
