Growth rate?

Hi all anyone know the average growth rate of a yellow belly slider i have had him for six months from being a young one i would say he's nearly one soon and is around 3"/3.5" long is this correct or not as seems to be growing rather quickly shall i cut back on food a bit?

as long as he is getting a proper diet he shouldnt have any problems growing as fast as he can. if he has any problems it is a diet problem, not really a growth problem. the growth just make sit more apparent and lets you correct the diet problem. my snapper is now 7". my peninsula cooter is 6". and my western painted is 5". all are only 2 years old this spring. all are only being fed high quality pellets.
