Finding a bearded dragon

ElJ Apr 23, 2006 04:18 PM

Does anyone know of a breeder who will sell me an adult bearded dragon? I would like a white morph, but I'm not picky, cause I don't have too much money to spend on my reptile-collecting hobby. Mostly I want a large, calm, healthy adult that's not too expensive.

Best thing to do is check the kingsnake classifieds for adult dragons. Most may be hold backs from last year or retired breeders. Though some may be thinning out or getting rid of their collection. Even if you don't see any adults for sale, emailing or calling breeders and asking if they have any adults for sale, may reveal positive results. Some may have older dragons but may not bother advertising as most people don't buy adult dragons, perferring to start with babies.

There are plenty of good bearded dragon breeders out there. All should be able to give you indepth details about the health, size, age, friendliness of the adult dragon(s) they have available to sell. If they cannot or will not provide current pictures, answer all your questions etc, then I would suggest looking elsewhere. The only acceptions would be rescued dragons who's history/genetics may not be known.

like the other reply said, just keep lookin on the classifieds on kingsnake. i have seen alot of males up for sale, including one of my own. alot of breeders are male heavy right now and thinning them out. the "white" dragon as you say, which is snow or a hypo cross are a bit costly but beautiful dragons. i myself have a male i am selling right now, hes a pale yellow citrus x normal. hes a very light yellow, almost like a banana, not the peel but the actual banana. when hes fired up he is a bit brighter yellow. i dont want to make this sound like im trying to make a sale, its just an offer. look at my add on the bearded dragon classifieds if youd like. there are pics on there. the nice thing about getting a older juvy or adult is you dont have to keep changing the cricket sizes, most already eat greens crickets worms and pellets *if their owners fed them pellets*
