blizzard hypo tang=?

bbrandonsmom Apr 23, 2006 04:34 PM

What would breeding a blizzard and a hypo tang produce? Normals that are het? I can't find much info on these two since the tang is line bred. If the babies are normals what would happen breeding them back to parents or each other? Just trying to decide if I want to pursue breeding my blizzard to my bell or to the hypo tang. I know the outcome of the blizz/bell breedings.

Since the tangerine lines are line bred and the blizzard arent. You should get normal babies het for blizzard. Maybe a little more tangerine than a normal, but thats it.
that's just my opinion! Im still learning all the genetic specs.

i agree with you. I figured it would be a pretty normal but in my eyes it's still a hypo... if its a really nice hypo parent i would assume it would be a low grade hypo het blizzard

You will get babies that vary from normalish to hypoish that will be 100% het for blizard.... It is true that tangs are a line bred trait, but hypo gentics from a certain line can be co-dominant or dominant at the very least....

My hypo tang is from Masterpiece geckos. They had so many awsome tangs, hypos, patternless and albino combos that it was so hard to chose. So the only way to tell if it's a more codom trait is to breed them and see what happens? I'm stuck if I want to pursue the blazzing blizzard with my bells or hybinos, they're both so nice looking. I think the blazzing blizzard will be harder to hatch out though.

it would be hard but if you work at it that would probley be a sweet looking gecko!

sounds like a good explanation to me... its up in the air how the babies will look hopefully some traits pass down. I would expect low grade hypo het blizzard personally
