Is there a better time of day to feed a BP?
If using tongs, should the tong grasp the tail or back end of prey?

Feed at night I would say from 8PM and on. The only time I can get BP's to feed during the day is when I am working with hatchlings.
I hate feeding at night 40 snakes, because I am NOT a night person, but none of my yearlings and adults will eat during the day.

Man. Sorry to hear that. I guess I should consider myself lucky because even though BPs are crespusulsusalar or Nocturnal, I have been able to get my BP's to feed almost anytime of the day. Now this is that to say that there are not times when they refuse food, but I am jsut saying that it is not related to time of day in my case.
cheers.

Longtang. I like snakes and rats.
It depends on the snake. Some BP only eat at night. My BPs eat at any time of the day.
I guess you just have to try what your snake likes best.
