Question for experienced boa keepers...

boafanatic7 Apr 23, 2006 10:10 PM

I spot clean my enclosures whenever necessary. I use aspen bedding, and if ever there needs to be extra cleaning due to crusted urates stuck to the plastic, i clean it up and disinfect it.

My questions is, aside the fact that i do this, how often should I completley clean the cage out, taking everything out and srubbing it down.

Thanks.

That depends on the moisture level, how dirty the snake makes the enclosure etc. I have some that are in large enough enclosures that I could go several months between full cleaning when using wood chips but I usually go no longer then a month.
