HELP! Wheezing ball....and I'm moving

Gravity_Freak Apr 23, 2006 11:38 PM

My wife and I just noticed a wheeze from our female ball. My biggest problem is that we are moving to Virginia from So Cal and the movers are coming on Thursday. We can't change our move date because it is a military move. Here tank is also being packed in the truck, and will not arive for at least two weeks! What canI do?

Thanks for all the help.

Dave

Were you planning to leave her alone in a moving van for two weeks? Maybe I'm just too inexperienced, but I can't see doing that if she were healthy. If it were me, I'd try to get her to a herp vet tomorrow. I'd try to make some kind of travel cage that you can keep warm while you move.

Good luck,

Bill

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

Let me rephrase. I'mmoving in one week. The tank is going in the moving van, the snake is going in the car with ne in a temperature controlled box. I need to know if there is a way to treat her now. Is there anything I can do for her until I can get her to the vet. My wife is having surgery, so most of my time is taken up by taking care of her and my three kids. Don't thing that I don't care about my snake, but I do have alot on my plate, and the wheeze just started.

Thanks,

Dave

Since it does seem like you got alot goin' on, and since this RI has just started, the easiest thing to do would be to bump up the temps in the tank to about 90 degrees all round, and bump up the humidity. This alone may fix the RI. If it's still goin' on when you get settled in your new place, find a herp vet near you and make an appointment. Good luck with all you've got goin' on.
