I've been trying to put together a breeding project with the red-sided central Ohio eastern garters and I have some promising juveniles. Tonight I flipped some cover in an area I like that's being bulldozed for developement. I found this adult female! Better pics when I get a chance. She's got definite red all the way to her vent! I've found the red ones average about 1 in every 50, so I'm quite pleased.
