O/T chuckwalla

niki_athena Apr 24, 2006 01:53 PM

Hello,

Four weeks ago my husband went down to Las Vegas to pick up my parents when they came to visit for two weeks. He decided to go herping/hiking in Sloan Canyon and he caught and released this large Chuckwalla. He was so lucky! Anyways he said the chuckwalla ran into a crack. He waited and it poked its head out saw him and hid again. My husband then waited a little to the side and the lizard poked its head out again and saw him and hid. So my husband positioned himself somewhat behind the crack and when the lizard poked its head out he grabbed it by the torso and took some photos including this one sitting on a rock.

Sloan canyon is full petroglyphs.

I don't know where to store photos of Aspen to post, so I would have to email them to whomever.
