GROWING PAINS

SLIPPERY Apr 24, 2006 02:47 PM

I was wondering...a couple of questions.

I have an apricot pueblan milk. He is about 16 inches long I estimate he is about 5-6 months old., does that sound about right? How much will he grow let's say on a month to month basis, and if he is 6 months old how big will he be at a year? He has not shed his skin yet and I have had him for three weeks, he has a big appetite, I feed him once a week on a sunday, yesterday he ate 6 small pinkies! that's right 6 of them! I was astonished. When will hge shed his skin? i am excited to experience him do that.

Thanks anyone who will answer my questions.

p.s hes really beautiful, and his markings are perfect.

Philip

All snakes are different, but if he is eating 6 pinks a week, it won't take to long to shed. Probably 2-3 weeks. That is just an estimate. If the breeder doesn't tell you how old he is, it is very hard to determine. Some snakes are difficult feeders, so they will grow slower. Alot of breeders hatch their snakes in May, June, and July, so I guess you could use those months as an average. Derek
