I have a ball that used to feed regularly on f/t rats, but recently she has decided to strike, constrict, then leave the dead rodent alone. Anyone have any ideas of suggestions?

Leave her alone with the rat. Sometimes they will come back and eat it. Sometimes they don't~ so check the next morning and throw the rat out if she didn't take it~ rancid rat REALLY stinks!

I have a pied female that will kill rats and never eat them, but eats mice like a champ...
try leaveing the rat in the cage switching to mice... if your snake is shedding it wont eat ... you dont have ne thing to worry about unless the snakes weight drops... i have heard of snakes that escaped living in walls for up to 9 months and finally comming out ..and living
okay, ill try mice if the over night trick doesnt work. im not too worried about her losing any weight, just want her to gain it! thanks everybody.
