Hey, I am thinking of buying and iguana and I didn't wanna spend a whole lot of money on his enclosure and I was thinking about using my closet, taking off the doors, and transforming that in a habitat for him. Does this sound good? Any suggestions?

It depends on the size of your closet. A large closet though is a great idea. Simple, cost effective, and takes up no extra space. (unless you need to move the contents of said closet..)
Here is my closet I transformed into the iguanas habitat.

u see i took the opposite route... i needed more cage space so i got rid of my bed, put cages where the bed was and now i sleep in the closet! lol although that doesnt work for everyone.
im serious too.
I love that thought! Wonderful ig dedication, I mnust add.
Granted, not for everyone. I am afraid that my wife would have some objections if I attempted something along those lines...lol

any ideas about how to put a door on the front of it. Or atleast something so that I can open it up and take it out or so i can take out the water bowl and clean it. What about lights? How many lights should I put inside?
Here's a couple of pictures before I painted it.......For the door, the bottom is a simple hinge, and the higher one is a panel that has 4 screws holding it in. Just remove the screws, and out it comes. They could if they wanted to jump out, but they never do. For an ig who likes to escape, a simple harware cloth front, or plexi doors would be easy enough to fabricate.
For lights, I have 2 basking bulbs hung on heavy duty plant hooks, and the flor tube across the front. They are all on one long (and properly rated) extention cord which runs to the wall plug and timer (again, properly rated) outside the closet. Just be sure to anchor the cords so the ig cannot do itself, and your house damage.
Note that the bi-fold doors were modified to allow for more depth. I simply removed the inner half of each door, and left the sides "open". A brace and solid piece over the top, and presto!.

It's for one Male who is about 4'. Closet Measures 8' long, 8' tall (One foot used for Lights so He has 7' foot), and 3' deep. Seems to like it very much.
