Well after 133 days my block saddle reverse stripe girl dropped these sweet potaters. I was expecting to hopefully get 8-10 babies but she dropped 18 slugs for me instead. I had started thinking she was going to slugout on me and she did so one less female to worry about now . I still have one gravid girl that should "Hopefully drop babies within a week or so and not these things here ...

sorry for the misfortune... I love Sweet Potatoes, but not those kind...

Would've been nice to see what she would've had!

Better luck on her next year... you should now know what to change to make the best of this next time.

Take care, Joe

Yeah real purdy ....

After looking back on this breeding I think I may have pulled the male out to soon. Thats all i could think of with her , but even that the male was breeding her for a few days then she swelled and i left him in with her for a week or so after that until there was no breeding action going on in the cage. I even would re intro him about every two days or so then a day out to see if i could spur on anything from either of them to no avail . But atleast now its one less thing to worry about and drive me crazy on the wait ... Boas will surely humble there owners when least expected !

So you put him in, he did his thing, she swelled, he stopped. You tried him again, he wouldn't have anything to do with it.
Then slugs...
atleast you got something!

I had the same thing happen with two awesome pairs this year, but I didn't get anything! lol

Humbling is right! to say the least!

Thanks, Joe

Hey Joe , Im going to get the parents of the babies photographed today for ya, Ill get them to you later today. The father of the ones you have is also the one who bred this girl and also bred the other two females i have here one of which is due with in two weeks or less unless she takes her sweet time . Really makes ya wish when breeding boas that there is some way to know what to expect lol .

Do you still have that 75% salmontine female ? did she take or was she one of the ones that didnt play fair ?

It is so disappointing to see them through this process only to have that happen. Sorry to hear about that bud.
