Is time to clean my new cage for the first time so i'd like to know what you gyes do with the rest of the cage except the bottom end which I suppose you disinfect it every once in a while.Of course first you remove feces,leaves,etc..
Do you clean by any way branches,leaves and perhaps you dicinfect those too?What is the whole 'proper' procedure?

-daily pickups of poop, leaves, dirt, food items. Shed skin.
-monthly vine wash. Spay 1:10 bleach/water solution. Rinse for 20 minutes in steaming hot shower.
-bi-monthly plant exchange. Take out one plant, put in another. Trim leaves and repot prunings. was dirty leaves, add more soil.
-Bi weekly small cage cleanup means swutching the paper towell, and wiping the cage down with disinfectant.

I am not new to chameleons, but I am always looking for more and possibly better info on caring for these awsome lizards. I just wanted to know what kind of disinfectant are you using? I have used bleach for cleanings but would like to find one to use more often. Thanks a bunch.

there are lot's of them in the market but almost all hobbyists suggest diluted bleach,it's prety safe if you rinse afterwards.Have you spotted anything wrong with it?

Chlorohexadine solution....it is not as noxious as bleach. Dentist usually prescribe it for patients to rinse out their mouths with, so obviously pretty safe. I think Eric A. had mentioned this one before.
