Update on Paradox Sunglow Litter.....

vcaruso15 Apr 25, 2006 07:37 PM

Well this litter really has me amazed!!! Mom is doing well and ate 2 large rats soon after giving birth. She did a great job and proved out to be much more than I ever dreamed. She seemed a little upset to be away from here babys though. At second glance this is how the litter breaks down.

2 Premie Hypos (died after a couple mins)
1 Deformed Paradox Sunglow (may live)
3 Paradox Sunglows!!! Yes all the Sunglows are Paradox.
7 Hypos

I am freeking out here I think the Paradox gene has to be genetic in these guys. They all have it. Here are a couple bad pics. More to come in a couple days when I feel more confident about them making it.

I have to figure out how to post mutiple pics.

LauraV Apr 25, 2006 07:51 PM

Since you use Kingsnake as a photo host, gJust hold the control (Ctrl) button down (bottom left of your keyboard) while you click on 3 pics you want to post, then let go of the control button.

Another way...
If you upload pics to Kingsnake, they have to be smaller pics. You can post larger, more detailed pics by getting a free printroom.com account, or paid picturetrail/image event accounts. If you use one of these above, just right click on the pic after it is uploaded, go to properties and copy the URL. Then, in the Message portion in your Kingsnake post, use these tags:
[ img ][ /img ], and put your pic's URL in between. Like this:
[ img ]your pic's url here[ /img ] - just make sure there are no spaces. You can use these tags to post as many pics as you want in one post. You are not limited to 3 like with Kingsnake.

I am wondering if you are going to hold back any of the paradox animals to attempt to prove out the genetics. Boa genetics are one of my interests and I do not understand how/why paradox animals pop up. If in fact it is genetic, which your litter suggets, its inheritance needs to be proven.

All the paradox will be staying here for future breedings.

there dosent appear to be but I guess I will be able to tell better after they shed. They all seem to be doing well except one of the Paradox is still very sluggish.

that is still a KILLER end. I wish you the best on all the Paradox Sunglows. Either they are genetic, or there is something that causes the Paradox that we do not yet understand (and occured here).

vcaruso15 Apr 26, 2006 09:08 AM

Yea I am really excited. I really think there is a good shot at proving them out. I love boas!!!

I havent been on much lately.Been taking care of my animals an the house an Bills. This year wasnt a good year for me,I let all the stress of things get to me an pulled my male to fast,I reckon.I am holding my head high an trying to get a couple problems taken care of this year an hoping this fall will be a better breeding season for me.I get my drivers liscence back tuesday so my back doctor said I can go get a job as long as it dont envolve anything strainius[sp?].So that will definatley help with a couple bills that need to be paid then I can finish my caging project an start adding to the collection.I just may get lucky enough to add my first albino this year,Who knows. Thanks for asking,Eric[Hypoboa]
