A painful reminder..............

PBM Apr 25, 2006 09:45 PM

Well, I'm not sure if this is meant as a reminder to everyone, or if I'm just doing it to get it off my chest! Why are boas expensive, why doesn't the price drop in half overnight, why can you have a breeding go perfect up until that point of premature birth????? This was from a motley x hypo breeding, proven male, proven female, perfect copulations, ovulation, POS, body temp. during gestation....all good, until she decided a bit too early that it was time to deliver. This is our result and a huge reminder that boas can and will humble anyone in a hurry. I think our Feb. 13th litter were the first motleys of 06', which was a high, this is definitely a low! Here's hoping the rest of our litters and everyone elses go better from here on out. Take care!

When you're looking forward to special litters like that......It makes it even tougher. Sorry to hear about the litter. Next year will be better.

As you say it is part of breeding nd particularly frustrating when everything appears to go right. Hopefully the rest of your litters will turn out better.

Those two little ones in the pics would have really been nice. It is humbling to lose a litter like this.....I had a taste of it myself this winter. Best wishes for your future breedings.
