Just playing wiht the features on the camera...found the macro button (thanks Jason!). Camera still takes crappy pics, but this one isn't too terrible.

That boa is amazing! The details of the scales and coloration between came out much more clearly. Now you just gotta work on resizing your pics, but no worries....it still came through awesome!
What image programs do you have installed on your computer? I have Microsoft Office Picture Manager, which is what I use to resize my images after I load them onto my laptop. Its simple and came with Microsoft Office. Resizing pics will also save you a ton of space on your computer's hard drive if you resize them. I can help you more in that area if you'd like. I hope you're not offended...I don't usually offer advice b/c I fear someone may get the wrong idea...I'm no expert...I just try to make due with what I have....and what I have for taking pics is definitely not professional by any means. I see Celia's pics (exoticsbynature) and I get green with envy b/c they're so beautiful...but she most likely uses professional photography equipment.
