Well, I am happy and upset. That sounds funny, but I am offshore, and did not get to see them lay, my wife set up the eggs. I don't get to go home until tommorrow and see them. However, I couldn't be more excited. Also, they were both due to lay tommorrow, but gave us an early present.
I have been really waiting on this one female. I wrote about her a while back. Last year she ovulated, and then shed three times, but never gave us any eggs/slugs. This year, after breeding her numerous times, I had her ultra-sounded. She appeared to have nice size follicles, but also had something else in her(it looked like old slugs). Well, we thought that she may be egg bound, and we might have some complications. All of this is made worse by the fact that she was the first ball python that we ever had. Well this morning she laid 7 good eggs weighing in at 632.9 grams. She was bred to my Spider male.

This second female is a Het. Albino that was bred by my Albino male. She also had 7 good eggs weighing in at 513.2 grams. She is an 04 female, and only weighed about 1600 grams, so we were expecting small eggs.

Thanks for looking, and good luck to everyone this season,
-----
