Orbax for R.I. New antibiotic

speedingbandit Apr 26, 2006 01:50 PM

Just wanted to get some opinions about this drug. My vet said it was new and good to use. Its in pill form but i dissolve in water and administer through syringe and tube oraly. Since this has been breeding season with the lower temps im sure its common for some snakes to have a little sickness sometimes. Can raising the temps and using this drug clear up a R.I. case???

This stuff is marketed for treating urinary tract infections in cats and dogs and it only comes in 2 pre-measured size pills.

If you disolve it, how can you ensure the dosage you are using is correct?

Has your vet used this before on reptiles to treat an RI with good results?
