i have 2 r.e.s. that are 3-31/2 years old. one male, one female. i've never had a problem with keeping there tank clean untill the other day. i smelled something. i didn't think anything of it. then a day or two later i noticed it again. it was the tank, so no big deal it was due to be cleaned anyway, so i cleaned it out, the same way i've been doing it since the turts were babys. anyway, this was yesterday, and today the water is cloudy again. and i noticed the strangest thing. one of the turtles jumps off the log, and releases some white "something" into the water. i was too far away from the tank to see what it was, but when i got close enough to check things out, i couldn't find anything except cloudier water that is starting to stink already. does anybody here know what's going on? they also seem to be acting a little strange. mostly just increased appitite and activity, and i caught them mating last week for the first time (that i know of).
