*Help* Ball Python choking?

Atistaldi Apr 27, 2006 01:22 AM

Quick history this guy got out of his tub oh about 2 weeks ago. I knew we'd find him, but he's the sneakest of them all. So I finally found him under the couch tonight. He was a bit on the skinny side, and I'm sure he was thirsty so I put him in a clean tub with water. He's now showing "I'ma die" signs. Needless to say I'm a little upset, and it's 1:30am here there's no vet I know of that works on reptiles open this late at night.

This is my 04 orange nerd ghost. I've opened his mouth and found debrie of mulch and removed them all, he's still drinking water and quite strong. Is there anything I can do to keep him well before morning when I can take him in to a vet?

Just keep him warm and provide water. Keep us posted.

Thanks for your concern. He seems to be making a slow recovery and this morning was doing much better then last night. Perhaps he was just so dehydrated. I'm going to offer him a small mouse today when I know he can easily take a med rat. Build up his strength slowly.
