Babies born yesterday!!!!

mdc Apr 27, 2006 09:33 AM

Well, I must say that I am slightly disappointed in this litter, although it is hard to complain about live, healthy babies. These are from a female het albino bred by a hypo, het stripe, 66% het albino. The results were:

5 live hypos (poss. het stripe and albino)- all females.
9 live normals (poss. het stripe and albino)
1 still born hypo
19 slugs (boo hoo)

NO SUNGLOWS or ALBINOS!!!

Enjoy the pics.

I really like the head pattern on the one in the middle.

Sorry you didn't get white snakes, but any snakes are great!

Thanks Joe. I keep telling myself that, but I was really hoping to get a sunglow.

doesnt prove them as not het though, with that many slugs they very well could have been the albino and sunglows.

Thanks Mark.

I agree, it's just against the odds. However, with such a small litter and so many slugs, I'm going to try and prove out the male again next year before I give up.

Congratulations nonetheless. Healthy babies are always a score!
