Just caught this little male Corn in Scotland County, NC about 90 minutes ago with westernNC.

Got down here earlier today than expected --- going to pick up Blueking tonight!

i've been "herping" a few times and found lotsa snails, millipedes, a few adult toads, a juvenile toad(which i kept and if he doesnt eat soon i'mma let him go) steve swears he saw a deep green and yellow striped snake...which he looked up and claims its a giant garter. oh yeah and worms and beetles and stuff. woooo hooo i kick butt!!! hey i even found a nice walking stick, but hey, its all about fun, right??

LOL. most of that stuff I can go to my local park to get. I can catch as many garters as I want!! As for toads and frogs, those are on my front lawn during the summer. I can also get fence lizards (blue bellies), tadpoles (pollywogs), and crayfish (crawdads) at my local canal. But heck, I have been catching all those since I was a kid. I want to find something new. I would be ecstatic if I could catch a cal king or Rosy boa (which I have been told are in cali). Something, anything but a garter, or gopher snake, frog or toad.

We make the trip down each year to look for snakes. Corns are down there, but you must know where to look and how to look for them or else you may never see one.
