BTS is eating less

savannahblue Apr 27, 2006 03:04 PM

i offer him food every other day. the last time he ate was three days ago. i offered him silk worms, canned food, greens veggies, fruits and a snail yesterday. he only ate the snail. his food intake per meal is also much lower than it once was. could this be b/c hes getting older and not growing as much. or is something wrong? after how many days of refused food should i be worried? thanx alot.

Just feed him once a week and he will eat anything...
Shingleback food (so add protein up to 40 % for BTS)

yeah... as blueys get older, slow down their intake.

Babies to 9 months... offer every day
9months to 1 year... every other day
after 1 year... every 2-3 days and with some of those big brutish types could definately go on a diet.

they will eat anything with smell after going a few extra days without.

dont worry about him not eating (yet). you should get a scale to keep track of his weekly weight. Only worry when you see a drastic weight loss, which is usually visible anyways. Look for hips protruding, or tail becoming less thick.
