I've had my two female Leo's in this...they seem to be happier than when they were in the glass aquarium. I was also wondering it the heat pads should be placed under the substrate? or where should they be placed?

This is my first female...she was rescued from a pet shop. The owners know me b/c i'm in there A LOT! LOL This poor gal had been purchased and taken back twice. The first time the family just didn't want to care for her any more. The second because the family got her for thier kids...the kids were mean to her and she bit one. She has never so much as tried to bite me...I will post my other later when I get her pic. (My cousin named this one Velvet b/c that's what she thought she felt like lolHer sister's name is Suade

Nice gecko. Would you care to enlighten us on just what that contraption is? Is a glass tank inside some kind of mesh? And as far as the heat pad, i put mine under the tank.

lol that was my bad. It is all mesh with plastic around the bottom to keep the substrate in w/out making a mess. They are very tiny holes but allow the fresh air through. Now that it's nice out i've been taking it outside to get real sunlite...they don't overheat because its not all glass.
