So many amazing litters produced over this past week. This is an eye opener for what’s to come in boa morphs over the next few years. But always remember, with the ‘good’ comes the ‘bad’ and if you skimmed the forum this past week, you may have overlooked some of the hardships various people went through with losses and/or slugs. Someone once said that breeding boas is not as simple as putting two snakes together in a cage. I forget who said it, but it appears to be true.
TRIBUTE(s):
Davey suffers a gut-wrenching loss this season. I’m sure she will be missed for years to come.

Condolences go to Kathy & Denny losing one of their baby boas.

Props go out to Demetrius for taking the time, patience and courage to revive this Emaciated, abandoned boa. When he’s feeling photogenic, please post some updated pics of him.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
Paul Mitzelfelt shares his experience:
“This is our result and a huge reminder that boas can and will humble anyone in a hurry. I think our Feb. 13th litter were the first motleys of 06', which was a high, this is definitely a low! Here's hoping the rest of our litters and everyone elses go better from here on out. Take care!”

TIP OF THE WEEK:
removing hide boxes
I have had three or four Boas that seemed to become aggressive after I introduced a hide box...I have hypothesized that they tend to become more territorial when they have a hide in place, or that they are more easily surprised when you remove the hide box and thus become irascible. Removing the hide seemed to make a big difference.
Hope this is helpful- Jim Elliot

FINAL THOUGHTS:
pic taking tip: Be sure to read-up on the macro feature of your camera . It’s a symbol that looks like a flower and it’s meant to be used when taking pics within a 3-12 inch close range of your subject. Otherwise, close-up shots of your boas may come out slightly blurry. Check it out!
