pregnant mommy not eatting

STEVES_KIKI Apr 28, 2006 07:54 AM

ok so most of ya'll know my Emily.. tons of pics of her...the last ime she ate was 4-20-06 and she only ate 1 f/t mouse. and i had been feeding her every 3 days and when i tried to feed her on 4-24 she wouldnt come out of her nesting box....shes not in blue phase but wont come out. granted i see lil "surprises" here and there in her tank but she wont eat. i tried to feed her another f/t mouse on 4-27 and she just "sniffed" it and turned away. now, i know when they are in blue phase they stop eatting but shes not even dull!!! And just to update i witnessed them breeding a few times...but the first time was 3-29-06. am i just freaking out early or what? i was told to try a fuzzy but i dont wanna thaw it out for her not to eat it. thanks for all ya'lls help!! ~kin

It's not unusual for gravid corns to stop eating a week or two before going into their pre-egglaying shed. Sometimes they'll still eat - it's just that they'll only accept smaller-than-usual food items.
