After breeding question?

snakeguy46 Apr 28, 2006 10:18 AM

This may be a stupid question but after the breeding season is over and some females gravid do you recomend turning the night time drop option off from the helix1000???
The same question for balls?

And what do you recomend for a hot spot and cage temp during getation?

Thanks for you help

Turning off night time drop option for your non-gravid animals are up to you... maybe you can just reduce it, or turn it off all together.

The gravid females need a steady, reliable, consistant heat source for gestation.

If you can't arrange for both, just turn it off...

Boas and balls usually gestate at around 80-85 degrees, I think 81-82 degrees is more common.

Best wishes, Bci Joe
