gold dust question

desertgecko Jul 30, 2003 01:12 PM

is it only female gold dust day geckos that store calcium in the sacs behind the head, or males as well? i have just found what i thought was my male, hiding in a spot where the eggs are being laid. i've either been watching the wrong gecko or males guard the eggs!

I think its mainly the females since they need the extra calcium to lay eggs. That would be the logical explanation at least...
