After 10 days of incubation of Sunshine's second clutch I discarded up to 29 eggs (out of the 67) because of molding. I was expecting to find not fertilized eggs since this was the 2nd clutch after only one breeding.

I have a question about the 1st clutch that is now at 4 months. In 3 cups (have only 4 eggs in each cup) there was smell of mold but couldn't really see the mold. I split the eggs in 2 different cups. Some eggs still had some sand on top so I thought those could be the ones going bad.
Can anybody tell me how long can take to an egg to go bad if not fert. (I thought 2-3 weeks)? and, what could be the reason for start molding at 4 months? If anything changed in the incubation, how soon will I see the effects on the eggs?

I incubate at 72-79/80 (fluctations), humidity in the incubator is 30-40%, in the "test cup" is 82-85% (have 1 cup with thermometer probes and hygrometer and no eggs, same mixture of vermiculite/water and holes in the lid as for the cups with eggs)

Thanks
