3 of my favorites

Brad Alexander Apr 28, 2006 04:33 PM

I like'm all, but these three, especially the first, are my favorite of the lot.

This one just keeps getting lighter with every shed.

This one is a bit more yellow than the picture shows

color is pretty much perfect on this one

They're all yearlings so it will be interesting to see what color change they go through into adult hood.

Brad,
Great job growing those guys, they really look nice. Would love to see pictures of the rest of your crop of 2005s.

Thanks Russ, the bottom two are from you. First one is from BHB.

Yeah, somewhere along the way I need to photograph them all again. I'll get to it eventually, but not sure when at this point.

I really like that BHB one. I wnet back and looked at the hatchling pics of the ones you posted. REally neat to watch them change.

If you can post a pic of the silver or grey ones you got .....I love to see how they change. Some go dark and some turn green

Wow all three are nice. I like the third one myself. I can see he's probably going to get a bit lighter too. Maybe he'll maintain those "rusty" highlights. Great photography too BTW

I did'nt even know that Brian @ BHB was breeding thayeri. I haven't seen them listed on his webpage but I remember he used to have them listed???

Not bad, amigo! All are coming along nicely. Photos, as usual, are terrific.

dont most thayeri lighten up in color as they age? or does that depend on phase?

Leonis phase morphs do get lighter. I have seen a few that maintained pretty much the same color but most of the time that has been with buck skin colored leonis. I have seen some Milksnake phase actually get a deeper red color but the light color almost always fades.

Here's a good example of a leonis that faded
