Basic Plans for an Outdoor Monitor cage

Varanuslifer Apr 28, 2006 08:15 PM

Since my Black Throat is growing in leaps and bounds i decided that since it's getting warmer outside (FINALLY!!) I was going to build an outdoor enclosure for him, this is just the basic size and what my plans are for it, tell me what ya think? I'm going to use metal fencing that goes up and connect to the awning of my patio and put about a good 8in or more of desert sand in the patio section and have the bottom half of the shed door open for him to go in and out at his leisure, with a pig blanket in the shed for nights. I dunno, thought it would be a pretty good size for one black throat.

Wow, how big is your lizard? I know there is no comparison between us and lizards, but "comparatively speaking", I sure wish I lived in that much space. Mobile homes suck.

Well actually he is about 4 feet right now but i figured if i got the space why not make him the happiest black throat i can. The fun thing will be making it extremly escape proof.
