Hi all. I have a question. If you have a F1 parent, and F2, what are the offspring considered? Please bare(bear?) with me. I am completely new to GBKs, but am learning as fast as I can. I am collecting locale only animals, and look forward to doing more business with some of you. If it were the snakes I have worked with for years, I would gladly help answer any questions for the new people that I could. Thanks guys for all the help, as well as the animals I have gotten so far.

There is more than one correct answer here so it is difficult. I would probably call it a F3 but it might be more exact to call it an F2 & 1/2.
If the F1 parent and the F2 parent were completly unrelated it could also be called an F1 according to some people. It depends if you are talking about generations from the wild or generations from the start of a line breeding project.
You might get a better answer on the genetics forum. Sorry if this wasn't much help.
