New Snake. Mouth Foaming (Bubbling)

floridaisstupid Apr 28, 2006 11:07 PM

I just purchased a new female boa at the 6 foot mark. She is about to shed, and since I have gotten her I have noticed bubbling coming from the top of her mouth. I also have two other 6 foot boas, one male and one female, and neither of them have done this before. Im just wondering what this could be, and if it is anything to worry about. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is usually signs of a an upper respiratory infection or URI. You should raise the temps in the cage about 5 degrees and get her to a vet asap.
