How many days after the pre-lay shed do you add the egg laying box?

my female hasnt even gone blue yet and shes in her lay box... i doubt it really matters as long as she accepts it. i've heard right before she turns dull to put it in with her so she can use it to help shed!!!

I put the lay box in about the time they go into the blue phase. I have read that on rare occasions, snakes will lay before they shed. I don't want to take that chance. From my three snakes that have layed, they did not lay before 10 days after shed.

I put mine in before she even looks like she is going to shed. They spend almost all day in there. also helps along the shed.
