Hope I can save this one!

I was on the way to pick up a tree frog and anole that someone who was moving decided to give away. I stopped for crickets at a local pet shop, and I saw this little blizzard on his last legs. (marked $80!) I don't know for sure if it will make it. It's in awful shape.

This was at my neighborhood family pet shop They usually take decent care of their animals, but they are new to leopard geckos. Even so, they usually have fairly healthy ones, and only one or two at a time. (on bark - but I want to educate them gradually, so I don't come on too strong) As soon as I saw this I asked what was up with it. They said it came in from their supplier like this about a week or so ago, and it's just too young and small for them to care for. They tried, and it ate a few pinhead crickets, but as you can see, it needs a LOT more TLC to make it. I told them I'd take it home and get it healthy and give it back so they could sell it when it was strong and well. They agreed and gave me the whole tank and a light and hide (no uth was attached) They won't hold me accountable if it dies, since they could see the condition. I figured it would give me the opportunity to help it, and to teach them about proper care. Once they see it improve (let's hope) I think they will be more inclined to listen to advice about how to keep them.

I actually got it to eat a couple of little mashed up crickets
(without legs and such) and it's very active, so there's hope. I
think the under tank heater I bought there will make a difference too.

The lady that was getting rid of the frog and anole, was the same one who put two leopard geckos outside (in the glass tank)to be picked up by someone last week and they died in the sun waiting. I sure wish I had known earlier about those two!

She was going to put the frog and anole out on the front step too, but I showed up too early.

Here is the poor little twig:

Pardon my french but...WHAT STUPID B**CH!!!! You'd think the dumb a** would have learned after she killed the poor geckos...! What the heck is wrong with people like that..."Dumbitus"...

Oh, it gets even better... she handed me all of the receipts she had from the animals and supplies she had bought at the end of last summer. She had bought two frogs at the time... so the other?
In the add I saw originally, she didn't mention the anole, she forgot it was in the tank with the frog and didn't recall what type of lizard it was. (It was on the frickin' receipt!)
It's so odd, she and her husband seemed so nice and friendly. I don't know how seemingly normal, average people can be so careless with their pets' lives.

One word; narcissist. Two actually, if you add stupid. Some people are screwed up. (Spelled it wrong)
