2 Corns
1 Coachwhip
4 Eastern Kings
2 Copperheads (1 Southern and 1 Northern)
2 Black Rat Snakes
3 "Greenish" Rat Snakes

Below is a pic of Zee (Blueking) and I soaking it up at a site on the Lumber River in Robeson County, NC right after we found 3 Eastern King females in 5 minutes.

Yes it was a great weekend!!! Measured the larger of the two females and she's 52" long!!! Thanks for coming & tell Kevin the same.
Things got even better: Remember the large 5 foot male with the clean white bands (Pictured below)? I put that large female in with him and only 40 minutes later they were locked up!!!
I'll post pics of the two females tomorrow (after I get some sleep). Can't do it right now anyway - the large female is STILL locked up with that male - WOOOHOOO!!! More babies on the way . . .
Here's that clean looking male:

THANKS! That is the 5 foot male I found last year about 5 miles from my house! He and the female I found on Saturday already locked up two different times (for about three hours each)
BTW: Where are you going to be at next weekend?

I found him under a large 10' x 10' tin sheet aproximately
a mile from the Cape Fear river near my house here in Cumberland county, NC. He IS the cleanest, brightest white banded individual I've ever found. If he is this clean at five foot he must have almost glowed in the dark when he was younger?

Nice job guys and thanks for sharing the pics.

Do you have any pics of the area they were found? I have a thing for seeing the actual debris they were found under

BlueKing Apr 29, 2006 11:10 PM

The area itself did NOT look to good at all. But it was the proximity of a swamp/river about 50 yards away that REALLY boosted our luck. I will visit the area again soon (next weekend) and I can take some pics for you if you like (it's no problem) so you can see where they were found.
There were three adult females within within 30 yards of each other!!! I found two of them coiled together in a pile of trash and immediately thought the bigger one was a male. When I checked them though it turned out that BOTH are in fact females. One is 52" long and the other is 43" long. I put the 52" female with my 5 foot (same locality/within 11 miles) male and they locked up in only 40 minutes! Still locked up now (3 hours later!)
Still debating on who to pair up with the smaller female. . .
I'll post pics of them tomorrow.

Zee,

If you go back out can you take a pic of the trash area from about 10 yards away. I would like to see the situ .

BlueKing Apr 30, 2006 01:37 PM

Sure thing. (Next weekend I'll be back over there). I will also see if I can take a pic of the whole area so you can see the proximity of the creek/river/swamp adajacent to the property.
I have found better trash piles than this, but hardly ever a kingsnake unless a NATURAL water source was nearby . . .
