i think it looks good....but its up to the snake to make sure its 100% good. emily needed a lil push toward hers and she wont come out now... just kinda but the head towards the entrance and she should go in on her own in a timely manner

Thats what I use but judging by the pic...Are all of your edges smooth? I opted for a hole in the top. I only filled mine about one quarter full so the snake has room to move and push the moss around.....worked like a charm...just my 2 cents....Good Luck...

That looks pretty good. The only thing I would do is to duct tape or paint the outside to make it dark. Remember she is looking for the most secretive, dark place possible to lay her eggs, and the more sequre she is the less likely there will be complications. Many people use clear so they can see the female. I just open each hide for a quick peek once daily during laying time. I think the momentary stress of opening the box is far outweighed by having a dark hide.

I know a lot of people are very successfull with the way you have it now, but in many years I have never had a single eggbinding incident and I think that a proper laybox is the main reason for this. just my .02

cheers
