If you are looking for the smallest type of carpet python, I would recommend an Irian Jaya, as they are the smallest.

i've always found them to be very laid back; a good pet snake. babies can be nippy like with any boid, but with regular handling they're as nice as any snake...

irian jayas and jungles are the smallest... but i like coastals the best.

i believe the iranian java (sp?) are the smallest, and the coastals are the biggest. jungles are in between. not sure on the diamonds but they are beautiful. never seen one in person just photos. i have a JCP and he is great. handles great, eats great. has a docile temperment.

Irian Jaya's are great, babies are nippy but with regular handling, and a good enviroment they can be very docile.

my IJ is big for there size shes 6'5" normally they only get to 6'

other than Jaguars and Tigers IJ are the best looking as well.
