Breeding ia always a crap shoot, if he's trying to breed her, leave them together. As to the other, I've never had an import and none of mine are aggressive, may very well be an import.

Successful mating can take place before or after ovulation. Dave is right. If they're breeding, leave them together.

The attitude and coloration of your female doesn't necessarily mean wild caught. If you have access to a good reptile vet, have a fecal done. Parasites could indicate an import and may be the reason she won't eat. This would be my main concern. Was she eating for him? Does she seem to be underwieight? There are other tricks you can try to get her eating. We can help you out with this. In the meantime, quarantine her from the rest of your animals to be safe. This isn't the animal that's with your mail is it?

No, my male is with my big female. I bought them as a breeding pair and didn't expect to have them breeding so early. The other female seems great on weight but she has a sore on her nose that is pretty well healed by some anit microbial that the vet gave me.

Jason,
..The snake may be refusing to eat because it is stressed out. Try limiting stimuli to see if it will calm down. Make sure you keep it with high humidity and temperature from the low to mid 70s in the cool end of the cage and high 70s to low 80s at the warm end. Try feeding live small rodent at night with minimal disturbance to the snake. Best results if the snake has a nice secure place to hide in the cage and can come out of the hiding place to find the rodent rather than being forced into close encounter with the rodent with no place to hide. Fresh imports often have small scars from tick bites and possibly larger scars from rodent bites.
Good luck,
Jeff
