Double hets....They are finally hatching

skmcwilliams Apr 30, 2006 04:47 PM

I am so excited. My first double het Translucent X "marketed" Leucistic are coming out. Pic is of my first baby that emerged an hour ago with more poking through. I can't wait to see what becomes of them, and to think of the beautiful Translucents they could have in the future is amazing. I will post more pics later when more come out.

It's amazing that you can put two beautiful mutations together and produce normal looking babies. Those double hets should do really well, and are going to produce gorgeous offspring. Josh

Thanks, I feel like such a proud mother. I also want to thank you Josh for answering so many of my questions and inspiring me with all your beautiful dragons, I can only hope I have some translucents that come out as nice as yours.

I know what you mean about them coming out "normals" It is funny how genetics work that way. It's like with leopard geckos when you breed an albino with a blizzard (all white) the babies come out looking like completely normal leopard geckos and it's only when you breed them that you get very cool surprises.
