Hi everyone!
Thanks to Eve, for your advice. I took Squirt to the vet about her eye. He agreed that it looked infected and gave me some bacytracin ointment to put on it, but no resperatory infection. He also gave me some good advice on her diet and cage conditions. It turns out that my vet collected collards for a wildlife study for a very long time, so he has a real affinity for them. He even took her around the office, showing her off!
Squirt's eye looks better, although she REALLY doesn't like the ointment in it. I have had a bit of a hard time keeping her eye clear of sand because of the ointment. And it makes her depth perception off; I just gave her some liquid food because I don't think she's gotten any crickets in a few days. Hopefully when we stop the ointment, all this will clear up and she'll be fine.
So it's back to the vet for a follow up exam tomorrow or Tuesday. I'll let you know how eveything turns out. Thanks again for the help.
